- i think the m-sport is just the m3 with urs being a 318 im sure there just badges but never the less they make the car look good.
- Most likely those are all badges. I have the m suspension on my 328i. Ways to tell if you got the sport package is the 3 spoke steering wheel, bigger rims, and sport seats that have bigger edges like bucket seats to hold you in. All the other badges are fake. Just so you know. :)
- Different countries have different packaging for BMWs; but they tend to use the M packages pretty frequently. Generally in an M Sports package, the suspension is made up on a firmer shock absorber and thicker anti-roll bar. This can only be verified if you actually get under the car and physially look a the part numbers or check the diameter of the anti-roll bar. Other popular items that are usually included in such a package would be sports seat (with a front adjustable under-thigh cushion), steering wheel and special hand brake handle (you might get tri-colored threads on the sewing around the leather seams), gearknob, bumpers and not much else. I've never seen M-pedals on any BMW packages. But I know they're available to add pretty inexpensively.
- best way to tell is to take the VIN and run a vehicle oasis on it. it will tell you everything you need to know about the car such as all the options that your car came with., most bmw dealership can do that for you. or call bmw usa,
- check the vin# and call your insurance company. They should be able to tell you.
- the chances of it being an M package on a 318 are pretty low. MOST sport M packages are added to the bigger engine sizes... in your case that would be the 328. It's possible that someone had a sport package built in for some "build your own factory BMW" but if the person was willing to sink the money into the sport package i'd think they'd buy the I6 2.8L engine as well... just thoughts. Look up the VIN is the easiest.
- there is no such thing as a 318 m sport, there was a 318is which was a coup,it came with a small lip kit and interior extras. there was an m-tec bodykit out for those but was just cosmetics not performance or handling
