what kind of clothes are considered punk?

like me and my friend are considering going punk but like be have an idea of some of the kinda clothes to buy but like what kinda clothes and pretty much anything would be considered punk?

1. No don't do it. Cuz if you don't know instinctively from your favorite punk musicians, and you don't want to develop your own original style (which is where punk was born), then you will never know. Please don't drag down the dignity of the punk movement any more than it has been.
2. You and your friend are considering going punk? You've got to be kidding me. Way to label people, sweetheart. Edit: I completely agree with Morgaine. If you haven't already picked up a good feel for the movement from your favorite artists, you should leave it alone.

5. Shop at Hot Topic that is as punk as you can get. If you don't have one anything that is black, black and white, skulls, chains, black nail polish and purple hair.
6. hot topic and they might have some punk stuff at tillys idk.
7. look at pictures of your favorite punk bands and diy. also try and slowly incorporate punk style into your current style and not change overnight. that would be really weird.
8. A 45 year old "punk" laughs at you. Punk was never and will never be cool!!! If you don't understand that, just keep doing what you are now and we'll be fine.
