- Hot Topic great punk store but where there stuff over time then it will be ok
- www.hottopic.com
- Hot Topic. Try thrift stores and consignment shops too. I know when I did the punk thing many moons ago, we snatched up black trench coats, plaid pants or skirts, doc martens and any goth/punk tee with flocking. Black is always a good choice for clothes. I used to rip up fishnet stockings and wear them as gloves. It was pretty original then.
- pac sun.im sure thats a punk store even though im not.
- hot topic.
- hot otpic probably is like the best place 2 go... and i mean if u want 2 dress punk then u got 2 act punk get my drift?
- stores at the mall ''hot topic''or''spencers''
- punk is dead
- The great thing about punk is you can make it yourself so it really WILL be unique. And this way, it doesn't cost more just because it's punk. For example, buy a basic black T-Shirt, tear a few horizontal holes. Add 124 safety pins of varying lenghts and thicknesses. Add 2 huge white buttons randomly placed. Wear with a rough-edge short denim skirt and work boots and if it suits your fancy a Scottish tam. Chic punk and you will look like no one else! Use your imagination. You could come up with many more.
- First of all, I want to applaud you for trying to be different. Most people don't ever want to be different from the majority... You've got guts, hehe. I reccomend dressing in darker colors at first, then gradually progress to wearing punk clothes so it's not such a drastic change. =) Hot Topic has some great stuff, but don't go for the extremely insane stuff... you'll definitely be labeled a poser if you try going too far. Accessorize with bracelets and the like, and you'll definitely pass for punk. Also, you might find some amazing clothing shops in a nearby city. Sometimes the best punk shops aren't really well known. Good luck! :D
- hot topic is a little more goth and stuff...you should slowly make the turn by wearing band shirts and whatnot then add the accessories like wristbands and studded belts. finally, get the checkered slipon shoes and you are game!
- hot topic is not punk, that IS poser punk, you don't become punk because you wanna be different, your a punk if you listen to punk music, and not that greenday crap, i'm talking old school and new clit 45, the casualties, bad brains black flag, etc etc, punk is mostly DIY, or do it yourself, most punks, atleast real ones wear clothes from for punk by punk stores, get yourself some combat boots from the salvation army, and pick up a varukers cd, get a guitar, and right the most angry pissed off lyrics , and riffs that you can, then you might just be set
- hot topic is pretty tragic in some way though..pretty mushc poser* punk clothing..you can get some band tee there tho that are decently priced...add alittle to your wardrobe at a time punk isnt about 'a phase in how you dress' its more about attitude and actually being punk on the inside.. my mates that are punk and have been for years in succesfull punk bands etc..are all tattoed...dress what ever they want but will always look punk...its really about the life style..the music..how they think.....then theres some newbies that come in that just think it's cool to dress like "at the moment' who have no idea ..and wear like scull n cross bones top.,stripes, back jeans..bandana headband and other crap..well you can deffiently tell they are trying too hard..or girls that have swallows, cherries, polka dots AND pink n black stripes on..I mean WTF!! try these stores tho http://www.8ballwebstore.com/ http://www.tattooedkingpin.com and the best one out of them all http://www.illicit.co.nz/ I dont know you obviously and if you like h/c or punk scene but just dont buy stuff that's tragick and wear everything at once. maybe start with getting a new hair cut..(just nothing too extreme..or extreme emo).. black jeans..but only if they suit you..a band t shirt only if you like the band ofcourse.. check out eighteen visions..thats not punk tho ..listen to albums like vanity, untill the inc runs out...etc...Also check out tiger army, the horrorpops..etc...afi are good but they have gone pretty mainstream now, which is ofcourse good for the band but now everyone likes them, some of their older stuff is better.. you'd be probabaly labeled a poser if u wore afi..or ramones if u dont even know their music..it was kinda funny a few years ago when wearing 'motorhead' t shirts was cool this chick comes up to a guy i knew and goes "are u wearing that coz everyone else is?"..and he goes "yeah... ".goes to walk off..then he lists all their albums and she's all 'Huh?what did he just say?'..but this year his band was the support band for Motorhead when they played here!! go to some gigs and check out some underground punk music!..and some old punk at your local cd store.. hope this sorta helps you..
