Cool sound on shifting or on releasing clutch?
Some cars (i guessed tuned or sport cars) have a really cool special sound when u shift up or down the gear? like a "tzzsss" (pressure release like sound). I don't have any idea what its for ..but it drives me crazy! is it something that i can add to my car or its build in? I also am not sure if the sound is produced when u release the gear-paddle(clutch) or when u shift. Never driven one of this cars to know better.

- that tssss you hear is the turbo sucking in air, some cars have a blow off valve and it makes a tss sound when the turbo releases pressure, sure you can get a turbo kit for your car crappy ones are bout a 800- 1000 and good ones are 2-3k
- That's the blow off valve on the turbo charger. It releases the exess boost pressure when the throttle is released. After you get one of those on your car you may find it fun to install a duck call on it. It's all the rage these days.
- That sound is a blow-off valve, only found on turbocharged and supercharged vehicles. Its purpose is to release excess pressure from an engine that is being force fed tons of air. Without a blow-off valve, the pressure from too much air can cause backfiring, or other small problems related with a turbo.
- The sound you are hearing is a blow off valve. They are a spring loaded vent valve designed to release unused boost pressure between gears on turbo'd cars. It allows the turbo to spool up a little bit quicker. As for putting one on your car, unless it has a turbo, you can buy fake electric ones that make the sound when you take your foot off the accelerator.
