What is the best way to hang t shirts on the washing line?
Every time I bring a load of washing in off the line my t shirts look mis shapen and kind of pointy at the bottom corners of the hem. I peg them carefully from the bottom onto the line so I can't really see where I'm going wrong. Can anyone advise me on this? Thanks.

- On a hanger
- Use wooden close pegs.
- don't hang them laid them on a flat surface
- SHAKE'EM OUT AND PLACE THEM OVER THE LINE DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHIRT. ARMS AND HEAD OPENING ON 1 SIDE THEN THE BOTTOM OPEN'N ON THE OTHER SO THEY A DRAPPED EVENLY ON EACH SIDE..
- Either toss them over the line, rather than using pins...so half is over each side of the line..then flip over half way dry OR hang by pins from the BOTTOM hemline. If this doesn't work for you, only dry part way, then toss in dryer. The best thing though may be to dry FLAT, just put them in the sun on a flat surface.
- use a tumble dryer
- hANG THEM FROM THE TOP PART WHERE THE SHOULDERS ARE.. KEEP THE SHAPE BETTER HANGING THEM UP SIDE DOWN PULLS TO MUCH AND MAKES THE MISS SHAPED TEESHIRT
- peg them up by the shoulder seams
- Maybe if you folded the whole of the bottom hem over the line then peg it at both ends and the middle, the weight would be more evenly distributed and you wouldn't get pointy corners.
- When I hang tee-shirts up I hang them on a coat hanger, I use pegs to keep them fixed to the hanger, but they are never out of shape
- you can use a hanger
- As my partner does ... she turns them inside out so no bird poo etc.. marks them, and peg them from under the arm or hang them up on a hanger to dry
- hang your t shirts by putting a clothes pin at top of the seams of the sleeves OR you could put the t shirts on hangers and hang them on the clothes line. Don't hang them by the bottom , this stretches them and they will be out of shape.
- I always hung them from the bottom corners. If you hang them from the top the neck can stretch and you end up with lumps on the shoulders. Usually the pointy edges at the bottom will disappear after a few minutes of wearing the garment.
- i fold mine over the line and peg them under the arms and all my t shirts are in shape or you could always cheat and just put them in the dryer
- I always turn t-shirts inside out and peg them directly under the arm seam which keeps their shape, but I never peg out dark t-shirts when its sunny otherwise you get a line across the middle. I hang dark t-shirts on a clothes horse to avoid this.
- wot i do is peg them from the bottom corners but i stretch them so they dont get the pointy bits.
- Hang them on a coat hanger NOT wire ones, wooden ones or ones with rounded shoulders.
- I hang mine on hangers, carefully, then peg the hanger. The water in wet clothing goes down towards the ground/floor due to gravity, thus pulling the shirt away from the line causing the pointy places. If you fold the shirt in half, then peg it, the water might drip more evenly towards both ends, but you will have peg marks in the middle.
