Major Help Please!!! 15 year old, beginner at sports and Dad making me feel bad! What gear do I need and more?

Please Read And Answer My Question!!!!!!!!!! I'm going into the tenth grade, 15 years old, weigh 100 pounds, and 5 foot 7 inches tall. I have never played sports because I used to not like it, but I love sports now and want to learn how to play baseball, softball, football, tennis, and badminton. I am currently learning how to play tennis and badminton, but baseball is what I desire most to play. I heard my dad say one time that I will never be as good as I would of been if I started younger. My Questions: (Please Answer As Many As You Can) 1. Can I prove my dad he was wrong and how? How can I show my dad that I am trully interested in learning? 2. What gear do I need for baseball? How can I get my dad to buy me gear, because I only have around $50 to buy gear. 3. How do you play baseball or how can I learn? Any websites? 4. How can I get stronger, grow taller, and gain weight? No Steroids or HGH's! 5. How long and how often should I practice sports and exercise? 6. How good do you think I could be since I'm a beginner? If I really put effort in to learning and playing, do you think I could be as good as those that start at 4 or 5?

  2. 1. you could watch a lot of games on tv to show him that you're interested and when he walks by, say i wish i could play like so and so 2.you need a bat first of all, cleats, a glove, and a couple baseballs 3.maybe you can "watch and learn"..Watch a game and then try to do something similar to what happened 4.stronger, work out...pushups and situps help...cant help growing, but you can eat a little more to gain weight 5.i would say an hour for each practice and exercise
  3. 1. Proving your dad will be hard considering hes right about having started earilier. But with the desire and will you can accomplish anything. Have a serious convo with your father and let him know how you feel about your eagerness to learn and play. 2. Glove, and Cleets. If you join a baseball team they will have bats available. You can buy a $20 Rawlings Glove At Wal-Mart along with some Baseball Cleets Too. 3. Join a League, Watch Games, Read Books, Watch Sports Center, and most importantly watch the YANKS! 4. I use to be just like you, except i was 13, push ups every day, 100 in the morning and 100 at night, same for sit-ups. Eat foods with protein, and most importantly start lifting weights, not heavy just enough to get started. Benching is really good, but dont hurt yourself. 5. Excersice every day, Practice when ever you can at least 1 hr a day.
  4. 1. Your dads right, its best to start when your young, but if you truly have great talent you can prove him wrong. 2. Gear all depends on what position you play, also i can tell you that $50 wont cut it your gonna need a lot more 3. Start to get into baseball by playing catch, then once you get good at that hit the batting cages. 4. drink protein shakes such as muscle milk or the stuff you buy in jugs to get stronger, to get taller your just gonna have to grow naturally, and to gain weight continue to workout and drink protein shakes, muscle weighs more than fat does. 5. Practice everyday for at least an hour if you can and be in good physical condidtion, have a lot of stamina
  5. 1. In order to prove your dad wrong you need to practice alot, never quit and play in a league. To show him that your listening find interesting facts or info about the sports and tell him about it. Practice and tell him that you have been practicing. 2. For baseball You need a glove, a bat and a ball. If playing in a league you need a helmet. I don't know your dad but if he plays baseball tell him that you want to practice with him, but you need gear. You can also earn some cash and buy it yourself. 3. You can learn from practicing and reading baseball books. Here is a basic website: http://www.pbs.org/kenburns/baseball/beginners/ 4.Stretch everyday. curl 5-10 pound weights. Sit ups and push ups help alot. Run. Eat alot of Food but not the bad stuff. 5.Practice every day possible for an hour or more if possible.
