Is Medal Gear Solid 4 as good as a game as they say?

Ok well i've been thinking of buying it recently and I just wanted to know if people really like it. Don't just tell me its a good game or is awesome or its the best game on the market. I want to know what you like about it. What makes it the best game. What is cool about it. Is online as good as call of duty 4? Whats campaign like? Does it have a good storyline? Are the graphics good? Thank you for answering all these questions.

The game is amazing. Graphics- Easily the 2nd best ever seen on a console, with 1st being Uncharted. Story- Like previous MGS games, it provides a cinematic experience. It's almost as if you're playing a movie. Gameplay- Similar to the previous games. Hiding is equally as fun as shooting, unfortunately it's a little too much like the previous games, in terms of limited moves. The online is a slight drawback. Some people enjoy it, but it doesn't hold a candle to COD4. Most people buy MSG for the single-player experience anyway. If you have a PS3, its an easy decision. The game's easily the best the PS3 has to offer.
The story is good. Graphics better. And gameplay is even better. Multiplayer is nice, but I'd rather play COD4. Its just in general an epic game that can't be missed. Basically its a fantastic reason to own a ps3.

i heard the game is really good i really want it but i have no money you should buy it though if you like metal gear solid games then you should love this game and JT dont copy what other people wrote lazy asshole

What makes Metal Gear Solid one of the best games on any console is the freedom you have to do what you want. You can sneak through the entire game using your camo that adjusts to anything, or you can run and gun through it. You are given over 40 weapons and most of them you can add attachments like grenade launcher, under the barrel shotgun, flash light, etc.) There are also non-lethal weapons, so you can choose not to kill anyone if you don't want to. There are different mode of difficulty and there are a ton of ranks you can get at the end of the game which will make you want to play through again. A lot of people are thrown off by the story and it can be confusing, but Sony released a database for download that will fill you in on anything you missed. Graphically it is amazing and holds up to any game on any system. The single layer alone is worth the full price. Online is just a bonus. You can download new song and camos to play with in single player or you can just play against other people. It's not as polished as COD4 online, but it is fun when you get used to it. This is a complete game with unforgettable characters and story and is well worth the money.
Its easily the best game I've ever played. Its the best game on the market right now, by a long long shot. The online is much more of an opinion but it is awesome and it is better than COD4 online. The campaign is just freakin awesome. The storyline is better than any 5 games put together The graphics are great but I have an SDTV so I can't say much about this. MGS4 > COD4x10
