How do you get old, brown pit stains out of t-shirts?

I remember once reading something about making a paste out of oxyclean? Does anyone have a recipe to do this? I need something that will WORK - to get pit stains out of my husbands t-shirts. Not his undershirts. They are nice pac sun (and other various labels) t-shirts, and in this economy, buying new ones aren't an option.

2. baking soda and cold water and let it sit
3. T-shirts sell for $2.00 apiece. Buy five, and turn the old ones into rags.
4. I tried that once a while ago and it didn't work for me. I've heard that if you put a bunch of aspirin in a bowl of warm water and let the stained area sit in it, the pit stains will come out. Denture cleaning tabs may work, too.
