- Just wear black, but dont look compleatly goth.
- no just dress how u want 2
- well then go with what your comfortable in if you dress punk one day then not the next i don't see anything wrong with that just don't be something your not
- People who are truly into punk music don't care what they dress like. (Punk is not a style of clothing, its an attitude). If anyone looks down on you because you wear a preppy shirt with trashy pants one day.. they're not really punk any way, theyre just posers too, so what do you care :)
- you dont have to wear punk clothes to be punk just be yourself
- dress how u want its your style not theirs
- that's exactly how i am...except i wear my own style. i guess you could call it preppy...but im a complete metalhead(: i cant get enough of it. here are some outfits i wear: http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/chicago_78/?action=view¤t=OUTFITTWO.jpg http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/chicago_78/?action=view¤t=OUTFITSIX.jpg just because you love rock or metal dosent mean you have to fit into a stereotype of people who do. be yourself(: thats how i am, and people like it.
- There are lots of preps that only listen to rock music, I know quit a few, no one will think your a poser, you can still have the same friends, but you might want to make some new ones that like the same music as you so you can go to concerts with them and stuff, they may look intimidating by there style choices, but theyre still cool people...just dont try and force yourself into there group, most will then think your a poser and not want to hang out with you...just get to know a few of them, and if you like what you see than think about slowly changing your look to look more punkish, add some skinny jeans to your closet, maybe a few band tees, but dont all of a sudden go to school with your hair dyed and all black clothing, people will def. think youre a poser, but if they do, theyll probably a poser themselves, I used to dress prep, but now I dress more scene, its what I like, dont let others decide your fashion choices, theyll like you for who you are, not what you wear...Hope I helped.
- as far as i'm concerned, there doesnt need to be any fashion correlation between music and clothes. i think if you dress punk just to show that you like punk, its more poser than if you dress prep. if it makes you feel better, once you're out of school you can wear whatever you want and listen to whatever you want and nobody is going to care.
- punk is a state of mind. the most punk rock thing ive everseen is a pair of kahki slacks and a blazer on some one you knew was pure and lowdown filthy with idealism. rock what you got. music is music. scrap all that style and fashion maddness and be who you are. if the "punks" cant dig it then they are not punk.
- I'll answer your question with another one... do you have to wear long hair to be a girl...i mean with long or short hair you´ll still be a girl don´t you?? Forget about your clothes..they won´t change who you are... see you cinderellaaaaaa
- who cares what everyone thinks. be yourself, and where what YOU like. it's all about the music, sweety. if youre that worried about being called a poser, take some of your preppier clothes and spice them up. take some scissors to the back of a top and wear a black tank top underneath. or wear a tie with a polo. simple things like that can transform your preppy clothes into more edgy. also, you can get an edgy haircut. something like this for long hair: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/hairfiles3/BLACK/LONGER%20than%20shoulder/219_1960-2221.jpg?t=1185665400 or for short hair: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/hairfiles3/BLACK/SHORTER%20than%20shoulder/hair15.jpg and you can tease up your layers with hairspray for extra edge.
- don't you worry. i go from metal club to business attire at the drop of a hat, or the hoodie/jeans/flops staple of mine. make it your style. when it boils down...music is the heart beat of life ...create your own style and listen to the music you love. and as another individual said, it's a way of life, not a style of clothing. keep rockin out!
- sounds like you are a poser, your labeling your self and other people. Why are you so worried about what other people think. I love clothes from hollister abercrombie a &e and my favorite band is Pantera and i'm a huge fan. Just because you listen to a certin music doesnt mean you have to dress and certin way...thats dumb sorry.
