How do you make cool clothes (like the ones you download) on the Sims 2?

Online you can download loads of clothes that other people have made? But i want to make my own! Could someone tell me how?

1. I find it hard to make them myself, as you need a steady hand and alot of patience. 2. I recommend ModtheSims2.com for tutorials on it.
3. i agree with other answers here.modthesims2.com has great tutorial but making 3D map or blueprint isn't easy.unless you already know how to create 3D objects in computer.you need Milkshape for the clothes mesh and Adobe Photoshop or Corel to paint it.you can hand paint it for beautiful effect but you need steady hand though.so good luck.
