How did 1960's music effect teen fashion?

1. I don't know how much the music affected fashion other than there being a society-wide feeling of free expression and "do what you feel like doing". So, at least as I remember (late 60's, early 70's for me) neither had a direct effect on the other but the entire society was trying to free itself from the uptight "proper" and restrictive ways of the 40's and 50's that led to war and then to a path of unequaled (at that time) prosperity and self absorption. This , I think, just naturally bled into both music and fashion, independent of each other.
