Why is so difficult to find cool clothes and shoes for tall women (over 5'9 ) in the US?

Do you know any good place for finding clothes for tall women in California?

1. I would check on e-bay I have had really good luck.
2. My guess is that it is a supply and demand issue. Since most women are shorter, manufacturers focus on where the demand is greatest. The real question is why is it so difficult to find plus size clothes, particularly tops, that do not have ugly embroidered flowers all around the neck!! I'm guessing that clothing makers think that if they do this to a 2x top, it will draw the focus to the face rather than the body. In my opinion it makes my plus sized 31 year old body look like a grandmother! :)
3. I agree with the supply and demand. I have a problem finding tall clothes also. I have found some at JC Penney and the Avenue if you are a size 14 or larger. They have clothes that are more fun than most plus size stores. Jc penney talls size 8 - 18.
4. I have the same problem also being 5'9" I search major deparment stores for "tall" jeans, Kohl's, JcPenny, etc. My favorite brand I've found is Levi's but not all stores carry them in tall sizes, or a very limited selection.
