Where are t-shirts donated from a losing team in a championship game?
I would like to know what happens to pre-printed t-shirts, hats, etc once the game is over and one of the teams has lost? Do they get donated to an organization outside of the country? Are they destroyed?

- I read a Sports Illustrated article a while back that said they gave them to poor people in third world countries.
- a lot of them and most of the time they are sent to 3rd world countries and donated to those in need. just the other day i seen a arizona cardinals super bowl champions shirt on a child in Mogadishu on CNN
- Burn them
- The gear gets sent to poor countries in Africa. I remember back in 05 there were pictures of children in Africa wearing hats that said "Seahawks Super Bowl Champs" even though they had lost to the Steelers.
- They are donated to 3rd World Countries to children in need of shirts. They take it to Niger, Uganda, and Sierra Leone. It's pretty intresting seeing the shirts and the kids seem to love wearing shirts of teams that went to a Championship game. Here's a link to the NY TIMES story about it: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/04/sports/football/04gear.html
- they go to some 3rd world country although back when Tampa played Oakland in the superbowl I saw an oakland raiders Superbowl Champions t-shirt at a store which is basically a giant Salvation army store for stuff that was either misprinted or were not completed i even saw a 2009 Detroit Redwings Stanley Cup Champions T-shirt
- Yes, there are children in 3rd World countries running around in Men's XXXL 19-0 shirts and thinking that the Buffalo Bills pulled off the greatest feat ever winning four consecutive Super Bowls.
