What makes a gear shift sound cool?

Like in the Fast and the Furious they switch gears and it makes like an air release type sound right when they switch. If you can direct me in the right direction that will be much appreciated.

3. Those are sound effects. It actually sounds like metal hitting metal. I know what you are talking about the click sound right?
4. The noise you are hearing is the turbo releasing the built pressure. It is called a blow off valve. This will happen on a turbo engine when set up to do so. But if you are wanting it to be the way it is in the movies you may want to just keep watching the movie. These are sound effects in a movie. If you set your standards based on a movie you will always be disappointed with things in real life. Hope this helps
5. if you want to get that on your car you need a turbo installed and a blow off valve, thats the psssssht sound you hear when you shift gears
