is it illegal for a 14 year old to start a little home business like selling t shirts?

I've bought some Hanes t shirts and fabric paint and started making my own designs. Is it illegal for me to sell them from my house?

1. No but you will have to track all of your sales and expenses and file a tax return. OR you parents can file the Schedule C for you on their tax return. Have your mom and dad contact a CPA ( if they don't already have one who does their taxes) to find out what will be most beneficial for their situation so that you and them don't get in trouble with IRS and can make a success out of your business.
