Do I need a vendor's license to sell T-Shirts?

My friend and I have been making and selling t-shirts from his house. We want to try to expand the business and sell to different places. Do we need a vendors license? If so, where can I go to get one or get more info on it? Sorry I forgot im from Detroit, MI

1. you get a vendors license from your county clerk...at the courthouse...and yes..you are supposed to pay taxes on your profit. Save all of your reciepts for shirts..gas..expenses because you will be doing a quarterly tax return. good luck and I hope that you prosper. your state web site will have a link for all of this..and tax info
